Datu wants to clinch.
Lao looks to clinch

so Datu counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lao looking for a sweep. Not yet Lao, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Datu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Datu makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Lao looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Datu on the ground.
Datu thows a big elbow that misses.
Datu slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Datu grinds an elbow into Lao's temple.
Lao is trying to control Datu's posture but Datu avoids it.
Datu working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Lao is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Datu has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Datu has hold of Lao's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Lao tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Datu cranks the arm and Lao screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Lao, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
