Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maximillion Dirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Alston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dirk might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mack the Knife. Alston has chosen Where Da Bud At as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alston takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A bone on bone clash there as Alston blocks the leg kick.
Alston changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dirk tries to avoid it but Alston manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dirk to the ground. Dirk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Alston is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dirk scores with a crisp jab that stopped Alston in his tracks.

Dirk is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Dirk's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Alston misses with a takedown attempt - Dirk sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dirk throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Alston moves out of range of the leg kick from Dirk.
Dirk throws a shot from downtown. Alston moves away and avoids it.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Alston might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Dirk has got the better of the exchanges.
