Dillan comes to the cage accompanied by We Will Rock You - Queen. Thain is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Cypress Hill: Insane In The Brain. Pete Dillan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Thain.
Dillan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Thain tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dillan paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dillan throws a body punch but Thain moves out of range.
Thain uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dillan.
Dillan misses with a series of wild punches.
Thain shoots in for a takedown but Dillan shows good takedown defense.
Thain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dillan's waist but Dillan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thain off to one side.
Thain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dillan tries to avoid it but Thain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dillan to the ground. Dillan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dillan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Dillan throws a hook but Thain avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thain bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Thain shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dillan pinned against the cage. Dillan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Thain drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Thain is looking to take a break and control but Dillan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Thain is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dillan has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dillan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Thain has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Dillan trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Thain avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Thain shoots in for a double leg but Dillan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dillan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thain.
Dillan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dillan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Thain sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Thain is trying to control the action in half guard but Dillan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
