Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Cheadle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Jerome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerome is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dance with the Devil-Immortal Technique. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Cheadle looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jerome shoots for a takedown but Cheadle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jerome is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cheadle.
Jerome thows a body shot but no joy.
Cheadle shoots and misses
and Jerome counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Jerome is trying to maintain the position but Cheadle is very close to passing his half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jerome drops his hands momentarily and Cheadle takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Cheadle manages to break the clinch.
Jerome connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cheadle. Cheadle circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Cheadle has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jerome looks to move to half guard but instead Cheadle has passed into mount! Damn!
Cheadle tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Jerome bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cheadle's guard.

Cheadle is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jerome takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Al Jerome seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jerome closes the distance but Cheadle moves to the side
and Jerome takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Jerome lands a right hand that snaps the head of Cheadle backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Al Jerome will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Horrible takedown by Cheadle or perhaps it was just good defense by Jerome which made him look bad.
Jerome throws a low kick but it's checked well by Cheadle.

Jerome forces Cheadle back against the cage and clinches.
Cheadle tries to land knees in the clinch but Jerome avoids the damage to the body.
Cheadle drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jerome gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Cheadle fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Cheadle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Come on Jerome - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Cheadle can't break the clinch.
Cheadle tries to pull guard but Jerome holds him up against the cage and eventually Cheadle drops back down to his feet.

It looks like Don Cheadle has been cut.

Jerome is rocked!
Cheadle dances in with a quick combination. Jerome is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Cheadle snaps Jerome's head back. Jerome stumbles backwards against the cage. Cheadle steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Jerome's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Jerome just didn't come prepared.
