Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Troy Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Hans Hansen!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes scoring well with a low kick there.
Hansen takes one on the chin but seems OK.

It looks like Hans Hansen has been cut.
Barnes tries to clinch but Hansen is having none of it.
Barnes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Barnes throws a jab but it's blocked by Hansen.

Hansen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Hansen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Barnes wants to improve his position but Hansen is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hansen is defended easily by Barnes.
Hansen avoids the head kick by Barnes.

Barnes connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hansen's hands.

Hansen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Hansen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Barnes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hansen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barnes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Barnes has hold of Hansen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hansen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
