Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Partridge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manuel Rios!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rios fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rios fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A big right from Partridge misses.
Partridge throws a body punch but Rios moves out of range.
Rios looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rios fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rios defending well as Partridge loads up on a big left hand.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rios.
Partridge tries to clinch but Rios moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rios shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Partridge as he avoids it easily.
Alex Partridge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manuel Rios.
Rios throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Partridge's waist but Partridge gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rios off to one side.
Rios shoots in looking for a takedown. Partridge tries to sprawl out of it but Rios keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Partridge manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A head kick misses from Rios.

Partridge shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Partridge trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Partridge preventing the sweep.
Rios keeping moving, preventing Partridge from controlling successfully.
Partridge pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rios is keeping the position for now.
Partridge wants to control from the top but Rios keeps moving.
Partridge drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Partridge jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Rios is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rios looks gassed!

Partridge tries to free his leg and advance position but Rios is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rios doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Partridge counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rios won't be happy with that.
Rios is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Partridge is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rios has escaped the position, nice work there.
Partridge trying to control the action but Rios is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rios tries to bench press Partridge off him but Partridge keeps the position.
Partridge is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rios is trying to escape and Partridge transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rios is forced to tap! Nice work there by Partridge! Very nice indeed!
