The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
erdam shoots in and drives through. Torres sprawls well.

erdam shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
erdam might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Torres utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
erdam missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
erdam stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Torres swivels though and keeps the full guard.

erdam drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Torres dives on top into guard.

erdam has his foot on Torres's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Torres works his way back into a safe position though.
erdam has a closed guard, preventing Torres from standing up.
Torres stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. erdam swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Torres wants to get up but he can't break erdam's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

erdam has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Torres can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
erdam is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like Ams erdam has been cut.

Torres lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Torres works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Torres fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. erdam looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Oh erdam is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Torres moves in close and cracks erdam with a massive right hand! erdam, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Torres!
