Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raymundo Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Celso de Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Colon's entrance music is Estala O Dedo by Cabal. A fine choice. de Souza has chosen Linkin Park - In The End as his entrance music. Celso de Souza will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Souza pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Colon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but de Souza circles away quickly and effectively.

de Souza closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Colon to the mat! Colon manages to get full guard.

Colon could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

de Souza working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Colon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Colon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Colon looking to sit in guard and control but de Souza gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Colon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
de Souza avoids the body shot from Colon.
Colon fakes a jab and throws a low kick but de Souza checks it well.
A jab lands there for Colon.
de Souza is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Colon pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
de Souza misses with a hook.
Colon looks to land a right hand but de Souza moved out of range.
de Souza tries to clinch up but Colon circles away and keeps his distance.
Colon darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Colon connects with a good right hand that stumbles de Souza. de Souza circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Colon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by de Souza.

de Souza tries for a takedown but Colon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

de Souza decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Colon makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Colon.
Colon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst de Souza is controlling him.

That was a close round but I would say that Raymundo Colon will probably get the nod.

de Souza tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Colon swivels and escapes.
de Souza will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Colon dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and de Souza counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Colon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
de Souza postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
de Souza is breathing heavily.

Colon has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes de Souza off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Colon works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Raymundo Colon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
de Souza takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Colon is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
de Souza takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Colon looks to land a combination. de Souza sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Colon cracks a nice hook into de Souza's ribs.
de Souza is still on wobbly legs! Can Colon finish him?
de Souza shoots in and drives through. Colon sprawls well.
Raymundo Colon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Celso de Souza.
de Souza takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Colon scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Colon throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends de Souza stumbling backwards into the cage! de Souza bounces back off the cage towards Colon, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Colon lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Colon celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
