Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jules Verne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Verne kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Christina Milian - When you look at me. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verne fails in his attempt to clinch.
Verne looks to land a left hand but Alves moved out of range nicely.
Alves tries to clinch there but Verne circles away.
Alves gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Verne to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Verne will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
