Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Ray Gannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gannon's choice of entrance music: Hurt. Bobby Ray Gannon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gannon connects with a single shot there.

Gruber changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gannon tries to avoid it but Gruber manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gannon to the ground. Gannon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Gruber counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gannon's guard now.

Gruber drops back looking for a leg! Gannon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gannon manages to kick Gruber off! Gruber jumps back into Gannon's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gruber accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gannon is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Gannon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
