The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaufmann stuffs the takedown attempt from Troy. Troy gets slowly back to his feet.
Kaufmann tries to bum rush Troy with a series of wild strikes but Troy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Troy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Troy could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Kaufmann darts in and clinches Troy up against the cage.
Troy missing with knees to the body.
Troy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Troy drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Troy manages to break the clinch.
Troy moves in looking to clinch but Kaufmann pushes him off.
Troy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kaufmann as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christian Troy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Troy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Troy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Troy circles away from the clinch attempt

and Troy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kaufmann won't be happy with that.

Troy takes a little break here. Kaufmann wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Kaufmann tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Troy decides to stand back up. Troy steps back and let's Kaufmann get back to his feet.
Troy stuffs the takedown attempt from Kaufmann. Kaufmann gets slowly back to his feet.
Troy throws a head kick that misses.
Kaufmann tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Troy looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Troy lands a high kick!
Kaufmann misses with an attempted mid kick.

Troy throws a left and a right that both miss

and Kaufmann counters by moving into the clinch.

Troy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A head kick misses from Troy.

Troy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Troy quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Troy but it's paid off an Kaufmann is forced to tap! Nice work by Troy.
