Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Falaris!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jaakko Lahomaki!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lahomaki is defended easily by Falaris.
Falaris throws a head kick that half lands.
Falaris throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Lahomaki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Falaris sprawls well. Falaris wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lahomaki gets slowly back to his feet.
Falaris lands a two punch combo.
Falaris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Falaris.
Falaris feints and then cracks Lahomaki's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lahomaki down.
Falaris connects with a jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Falaris slaps away a takedown attempt from Lahomaki, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Marcus Falaris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaakko Lahomaki.
Lahomaki throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Falaris makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Lahomaki really felt that one!
Lahomaki looks gassed!
Falaris lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Falaris connects with a solid leg kick.
Lahomaki tries for a takedown but Falaris circles away easily
and Falaris finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Falaris throws a front kick that sends Lahomaki stumbling back into the cage.
Lahomaki takes a kick to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Falaris lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Lahomaki takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Lahomaki seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Falaris shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Lahomaki is backing up but Falaris catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Lahomaki covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Falaris Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcus Falaris!
Marcus Falaris retains his middleweight title!
