Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brycen Gionet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gionet has chosen "Mosh" by Eminem as his entrance music. Kurt Wood could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Brycen Gionet's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brycen Gionet!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gionet just misses with a punch to the body.
Gionet misses with a takedown attempt - Wood sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wood checks a low kick from Gionet.
Wood misses with a takedown attempt
and Gionet counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wood's guard now.
Gionet is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Gionet wants to control from the top but Wood keeps moving.
Gionet won't allow Wood to get back to his feet.
Gionet drops back looking for a leg! Wood is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wood manages to kick Gionet off! Gionet jumps back into Wood's guard.
Gionet passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Wood is trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gionet tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gionet has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
You can see the frustration on Wood's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gionet has hold of Wood's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Wood seems comfortable defending it but Gionet has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Wood is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Wood is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gionet couldn't care less - he's delighted!
