Emelianenko comes to the cage accompanied by Soviet March. Jefferson has chosen I'm So Paid - Akon Feat. Lil' Wayne and Young Jeezy as his entrance music. Aleksander Emelianenko could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Al Jefferson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Jefferson moves in looking to clinch but Emelianenko pushes him off.
Emelianenko takes the fight into the clinch.
Emelianenko tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jefferson breaks from the clinch.
Jefferson throws a series of punches but Emelianenko avoids them all with ease.
Jefferson darts in and clinches Emelianenko up against the cage.
Jefferson manages to break the clinch.
Jefferson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Emelianenko scores with a takedown into Jefferson's guard.
Emelianenko not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Emelianenko decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jefferson, up you get!

Emelianenko walks straight into a right hand from Jefferson - that's dropped him! Jefferson jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Emelianenko from any more punishment! Emelianenko complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
