Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dimitri Vorg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Watson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dimitri Vorg!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vorg throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vorg lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Watson tries to clinch but Vorg moves out of range.
Vorg is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Watson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vorg sprawls well initially but Watson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vorg's head.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Watson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Watson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vorg smiles and moves away.

Watson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vorg is fending him off so far but Watson persists. Nope, Vorg circles away and we're back to standing.

The fighters circle momentarily. Vorg darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Vorg lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Vorg stalks Watson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Watson's face. Watson staggers backwards, shaken.

Oh Watson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vorg misses with a few strikes there.
Vorg scores with a crisp jab that stopped Watson in his tracks.

and Watson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Vorg won't be happy with that.
Watson seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Vorg is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

A lull in the action here as Watson stalls from top position.

Watson is looking to take a break and control but Vorg is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Vorg is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Vorg looks to land a combination but Watson avoids it well.

Watson tries to close the distance and clinch but Vorg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

No joy there for Vorg, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Watson shoots in and bounces Vorg off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Dimitri Vorg will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Watson counters with a shoot takedown. Vorg fights it but they end up in guard.

Watson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Vorg is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Watson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Watson shoots in looking for a takedown. Vorg tries to sprawl out of it but Watson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vorg manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Vorg wants to control but Watson is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Watson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Vorg has managed to free his arm - good work.

Watson winds up and cracks Vorg with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Vorg is looking to control Watson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vorg avoid being mounted?

and Watson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vorg's guard now.

Watson wants to stand but Vorg has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Vorg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Watson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

David Watson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

David Watson showed his dominance in that final round.
