The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryant fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Austin avoids it really well and circles away.

Bryant throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Austin throws out a leg kick but Bryant moves out of range and Austin only half commits.
Austin is looking to chop away at Bryant's legs.
Horrible takedown by Bryant or perhaps it was just good defense by Austin which made him look bad.
Austin misses with a series of wild punches.
Bryant uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Austin.

Bryant shoots for a takedown but Austin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bryant closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bryant lands in his opponent's guard.

Bryant is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Bryant drops back looking for a leg! Austin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Austin manages to kick Bryant off! Bryant jumps back into Austin's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
No luck for Bryant with that takedown attempt.
Jonas Austin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bryant throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Austin was covering up waiting for the punch and Bryant finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bryant is pushing down on Austin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Austin is fighting to maintain full guard but Bryant has managed to sneak the leg through.

A close round but Jonas Austin will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
