The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Siro feints and then cracks Briggs's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Briggs down.

Siro will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Briggs crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Siro - the referee stops the clock and Briggs gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Siro. Briggs manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
