Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between wren nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Wolfman Elvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolfman Elvis fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A left and a right from nelson both land. Nice combination.
Wolfman Elvis takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

nelson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and nelson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wolfman Elvis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but nelson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Wolfman Elvis has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. nelson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wolfman Elvis.
nelson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

and nelson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Wolfman Elvis had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. nelson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wolfman Elvis Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take nelson's back instead.
nelson breaks Wolfman Elvis's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

nelson manages to reverse the position and now he's in Wolfman Elvis's guard. Nice work there by nelson.

Wolfman Elvis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. nelson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. nelson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

nelson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
