Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hayden Vega (ranked 2444 p4p, 2373 weight class) and Brunta Nguana (ranked 266 p4p, 256 weight class). Brunta Nguana is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brunta Nguana!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguana looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Nguana tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Vega defends well and Nguana ends up having to push Vega into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Nguana looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Nguana shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vega napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Vega wants to get back to his feet but Nguana is dominant here and he's now got Vega's back!
Nguana gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Nguana is landing with strikes. Vega can't take much more of this.
Vega is trying to remain composed but Nguana is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nguana lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Nguana.
Nguana has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Vega's body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vega is trapped and Nguana is scoring with shots to the head and body.

Vega is rocked!

Nguana has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Vega is defending well but eventually Nguana manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Vega has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
