This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 14 wins and 15 losses; Uncle Abner! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 30 losses; Mono Loco!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Abner moves into range and clinches up with Loco.

Abner turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Abner manages to end up in side control.

Abner is staying tight to Loco's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Loco tries to bench press Abner off him but Abner keeps the position.
Abner works to advance to full mount. Loco defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Abner controlling the pace for now.
Loco is trying desperately to improve position.
Abner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Loco wants to control but Abner is having none of it.

Abner working for a submission but Loco is keeping him at bay.
Loco is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Abner takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Abner looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Abner's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Abner has hold of Loco's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Loco manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Abner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Further stalling from Abner.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Abner is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Abner sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Abner wants to take his opponent's back but Loco doesn't allow it.

Abner jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Loco manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Loco is letting Abner control him for a moment.

Abner working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Abner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Loco has escaped the position, nice work there.
Loco is trying to control Abner's posture but Abner avoids it.
Loco is looking for a sweep.
Abner staying calm.

Abner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Loco is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Abner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Abner is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Loco will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Abner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Loco is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Loco has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Abner continues to stall.

Abner is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Loco defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Abner is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Abner is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Loco is defending well though. Abner let's go of the attempt for now.

Abner has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Loco is in real trouble here. Abner gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Loco is tapping out! Abner wins by rear naked choke!
