Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kake Luikku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck nurris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuck nurris is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
nurris misses with a two punch combination.
nurris swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Luikku.
nurris lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Luikku sprawling to the canvas. nurris follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Luikku hang on?

It looks like Kake Luikku has been cut.
nurris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Luikku. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. nurris connects with a nice short shot to Luikku's temple.

Luikku throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around nurris's waist but nurris gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Luikku off to one side.

Luikku shoots in for a double leg but nurris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Chuck nurris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
nurris tries to close the distance and clinch up but Luikku swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Luikku changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. nurris tries to avoid it but Luikku manages to keep hold of a leg and drag nurris to the ground. nurris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
nurris fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Luikku manages to avoid it.

Luikku slips a jab and a cross from nurris.
nurris connects with a good right hand that stumbles Luikku. Luikku circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
nurris tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Luikku closes this distance looking for a takedown but nurris circles away.
Nice body punch from nurris.
nurris attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Luikku feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
nurris wants to stand but Luikku is controlling the position.

Luikku drops back looking for a leg! nurris is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and nurris manages to kick Luikku off! Luikku jumps back into nurris's guard.

Luikku has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Luikku closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
nurris is not content to let Luikku control the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Luikku working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
nurris is looking for a sweep.

nurris tries to close the distance and clinch up but Luikku swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Luikku scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Luikku will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Luikku distracts nurris with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Luikku drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Luikku jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if nurris can do anything to dispel that myth.

nurris wants to improve his position but Luikku is controlling well.
Luikku wants to control but nurris is keeping him busy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
nurris is looking to get back to is feet but Luikku passes into side control.
