PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Alexander Vij (ranked 3723 p4p, 2153 weight class) and Colestein Veglin (ranked 454 p4p, 276 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 4 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vij throws a head kick but Veglin moves out of range.
Veglin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Vij pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A countering left hand to the body from Veglin misses.
Veglin throws an off balance right hand
and Veglin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Veglin's coach down at 4 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Veglin's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Vij. Veglin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Veglin throws a jab but it's blocked by Vij.
Vij moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A combination from Veglin does no damage.
Vij uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Veglin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Vij tests Veglin's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Colestein Veglin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vij blocks a jab.
Veglin is still on wobbly legs! Can Vij finish him?
Vij cracks Veglin with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Veglin is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Veglin is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Veglin could not beat the count!
