PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Niklas Konig (ranked 4180 p4p, 5350 weight class) and Buzzard Leonard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buzzard Leonard told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Niklas Konig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Buzzard Leonard!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Leonard gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Konig has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Leonard avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Leonard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Konig can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Let's hope that Leonard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Buzzard Leonard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Konig has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Leonard is proving hard to escape from.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Leonard will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Well Leonard has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
