Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nedser Kiely (ranked 2134 p4p, 5693 weight class) and Tommy Weismuller (ranked 260 p4p, 516 weight class). Kiely comes into the arena with Hammer Smash Face blaring out of the sound system. Weismuller has chosen The Nosebleed Section by Hilltop Hoods as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

I was talking to Kiely's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Weismuller has Kiely pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kiely manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Weismuller is trying to drag Kiely to the mat but Kiely just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kiely lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Weismuller or not.

Kiely has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Kiely cracks Weismuller with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kiely has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Weismuller to stand back up!
