Kiely comes into the arena with Hammer Smash Face blaring out of the sound system. Weismuller has chosen The Nosebleed Section by Hilltop Hoods as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weismuller throws a head kick that Kiely semi-blocks.

I was talking to Kiely's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Kiely lands with a left to the head.
Kiely scores with a shot to the side of Weismuller's head.
Weismuller has Kiely pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kiely manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Weismuller is trying to drag Kiely to the mat but Kiely just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kiely dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Kiely lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Weismuller or not.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Nedser Kiely dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Weismuller takes one on the button.
Kiely digs a good hook to Weismuller's body.
Weismuller on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Kiely was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Weismuller has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Weismuller there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kiely has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Kiely cracks Weismuller with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kiely has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Weismuller to stand back up!
