The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jovanovic goes for a double leg but Yardow avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Yardow continues to drive forward.
Nice shot lands for Yardow.
Jovanovic slips a straight right by Yardow.

Yardow lands a right hook to the body.
Jovanovic swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Yardow.

Yardow throws a combination. Jovanovic tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Yardow looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Jovanovic shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Yardow napping and manages to drive through into side control!

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jovanovic working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Jovanovic lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Yardow down.

Jovanovic remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Yardow is sitting in close to Jovanovic's body. Jovanovic has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Yardow is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Yardow is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jovanovic.
