These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreau takes a swing at Tate's ribcage but misses.
We've been told by Moreau's head coaches at MMAH League and Warrior Nation that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Sloppy strikes from Tate. Those never looked like landing.

Tate gets tackled into the cage by Moreau. Moreau maintains the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Moreau fails to land.
Moreau misses with a hook to the ribs.

Tate wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Moreau has him pressed against the cage.
Moreau tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Moreau misses with a punch to the body.
A left hand lands to the body for Moreau.

Tate pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Moreau misses with a looping left.
Moreau throws an overhand right that lands on Tate's shoulder, as Tate tries to avoid the shot.
Moreau lunges at Tate with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tate's hand.

It looks like Melvin Tate has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moreau connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Tate! He's out on his feet! Moreau rushes in and drops Tate with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
