Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kiniiiiii Kong (ranked 2144 p4p, 4003 weight class) and Ty Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiniiiiii Kong could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ty Booth's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kiniiiiii Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ty Booth!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Booth shoots in for a takedown but Kong shows good takedown defense.
Kong went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ty Booth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Booth gets a double leg takedown into Kong's guard.
Booth slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Booth accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

It looks like Booth might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

It looked like Kong was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Kong looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Booth sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kong's guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Booth shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Booth showed some decent athleticism there.
Kong knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Booth on the ground.
