Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Deshawn Mcknight (ranked 2520 p4p, 2370 weight class) and Freaky Hiroshima (ranked 285 p4p, 267 weight class). Deshawn Mcknight has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deshawn Mcknight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Freaky Hiroshima!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hiroshima gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hiroshima manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Mcknight wants to take the fight to the mat but Hiroshima manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Hiroshima's coach down at Freaky Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hiroshima's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
The referee calls for Hiroshima to work.
Hiroshima throws an elbow but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcknight is working for takedown but Hiroshima is calmly controlling the position for now.
Hiroshima misses with a short punch on the inside.
Hiroshima doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hiroshima gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mcknight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deshawn Mcknight. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hiroshima is pressed up against the cage. Mcknight has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hiroshima down to the mat. Hiroshima avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hiroshima throws a body shot but no joy.
Mcknight throwing a counter right hand but Hiroshima manages to avoid it.
Hiroshima swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hiroshima ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mcknight moves away.
Mcknight appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Hiroshima tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mcknight was well out of range. Poor timing from Hiroshima.
Mcknight is looking to counter the offense by Hiroshima and move into the clinch.
Hiroshima misses with a jab to the body

and Mcknight counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hiroshima had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mcknight defends it easily.
Mcknight lands a couple of elbows.

Hiroshima working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mcknight doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mcknight manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mcknight content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Mcknight looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Hiroshima not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Hiroshima had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mcknight defends it easily.
Hiroshima is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mcknight looking for submissions off his back.
Mcknight wants to get back to full guard.
Mcknight holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Mcknight works his way to full guard. Good work.

Mcknight is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hiroshima defends well.
Mcknight is trying to control the position but Hiroshima postures up.

Mcknight controlling the position.
Hiroshima sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mcknight's guard.
Hiroshima trying to control the action but Mcknight is working from the bottom.
Mcknight is trying to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcknight is working hard here to advance position.
Hiroshima is trying to control the action in half guard but Mcknight is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mcknight wants to improve his position but Hiroshima is controlling well.
Hiroshima tries to pass to full mount but Mcknight defends it.
Hiroshima is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mcknight!
Hiroshima wants to take his opponent's back but Mcknight doesn't allow it.
Hiroshima controlling from mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hiroshima can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mcknight is looking to escape.
Hiroshima pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Freaky Hiroshima dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Hiroshima has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hiroshima manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Hiroshima tries to land knees in the clinch but Mcknight avoids the damage to the body.
Hiroshima tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Hiroshima has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mcknight is working for takedown but Hiroshima is calmly controlling the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcknight blocks an uppercut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hiroshima takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Hiroshima has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mcknight uses from the top position.

Mcknight is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Mcknight makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Mcknight postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hiroshima looking to control.
Mcknight is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Hiroshima is rocked!
Mcknight content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Hiroshima is still in real trouble! Can Mcknight finish him?
Mcknight lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Mcknight arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Hiroshima's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Deshawn Mcknight!
An out of breath Deshawn Mcknight thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
