Nguana swings away with a body shot that misses
and Preston counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Preston slaps away a takedown attempt from Nguana, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Brunta Nguana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looked like Preston wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Nguana shoots in looking for a takedown. Preston tries to sprawl out of it but Nguana keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Preston manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Nguana working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Preston doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Preston manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
