Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Frost (ranked 898 p4p, 830 weight class) and Remy Leeuwenhoek (ranked 96 p4p, 93 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eric Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Remy Leeuwenhoek!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leeuwenhoek connects with a leg kick.
Leeuwenhoek bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Leeuwenhoek lands with a straight right. Frost didn't see that one coming.
Frost takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Frost fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Leeuwenhoek throws a leg kick which misses Frost's front leg but catches the back leg as Frost tries to avoid it.
Frost shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Leeuwenhoek defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leeuwenhoek throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Frost sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Frost half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Leeuwenhoek tries to sprawl but Frost drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Leeuwenhoek has his hands clasped together around Frost's back. He's all about the action.
Frost is taking a breather. Leeuwenhoek says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Frost is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Leeuwenhoek is just riding it out for now. Frost eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Frost is taking a breather. Leeuwenhoek says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Frost is looking for a kimura here.

Frost prevents Leeuwenhoek from improving his position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Frost in particular looking to stall.
Leeuwenhoek looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Frost wants to lay and pray for a moment but Leeuwenhoek keeps working.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Frost stalling.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Remy Leeuwenhoek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Leeuwenhoek connects with a looping right hand.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Leeuwenhoek misses with a body kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Remy Leeuwenhoek dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Leeuwenhoek's jab looks to have found its range, popping Frost under the eye.
The fighters circling - Leeuwenhoek throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Frost's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Leeuwenhoek connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Frost scrambles back to his feet.
Frost fails with the takedown.
Leeuwenhoek throws a leg kick but Frost moved away.
Frost drops down looking for a counter takedown but Leeuwenhoek sprawls and moves away.
Frost tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Leeuwenhoek defends well and Frost ends up having to push Leeuwenhoek into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Frost jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Leeuwenhoek walks away with a smile on his face. Frost gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Frost. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Frost fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Leeuwenhoek to the ground. Frost is now in Leeuwenhoek's guard.
Leeuwenhoek has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Frost stays in close to Leeuwenhoek's body and controls the position.

Frost thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Frost stopping the sweep attempt from Leeuwenhoek.
Frost is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Frost pushes down on Leeuwenhoek's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Frost trying to pass the guard but Leeuwenhoek defending well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Frost is working hard here to advance position.
Leeuwenhoek is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Frost wants to pass the guard but Leeuwenhoek is defending well.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Frost works his way into side control.

Frost taking a breather here.

Frost is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Leeuwenhoek is trying to escape and Frost transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Leeuwenhoek is forced to tap! Nice work there by Frost! Very nice indeed!
