Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oil Slick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fortune Cookie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slick comes into the arena with Careful With That Axe Eugene blaring out of the sound system. Cookie has chosen . as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fortune Cookie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Slick.
Cookie tries to close the distance and clinch but Slick swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cookie leaves Slick with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Slick throws a head kick that misses.
Slick tries to score a power double leg takedown but Cookie sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Slick somewhat.
Slick looks to land a body kick but Cookie moved away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Slick drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Slick jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Slick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cookie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Slick has managed to get both his arms back between Cookie's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Slick postures up in Cookie's guard and throws a big left but Cookie blocks it.

Slick feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
