The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington misses with a low kick.
Washington connects with a right hand. Toney shakes it off.
Toney with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Washington to score with a decent uppercut.
Toney tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Washington counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Washington feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Toney sprawling to the canvas! Toney rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Washington finish him?!

Washington lands a brutal uppercut that launches Toney off his feet! Toney tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

In his post fight interview, Adan Washington started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
James Toney spoke after the fight, saying 'He was the better man tonight, but I will come back stronger, no doubt'.
