Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Drederick Haytum (ranked 3225 p4p, 2841 weight class) and Tavares Tootoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tootoo is defended easily by Haytum.
Tootoo goes for a double leg but Haytum avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Haytum continues to drive forward.
Haytum throws a lazy right hand but Tootoo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Haytum lands a left and a right that send Tootoo crashing to the mat, dazed. Haytum thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Tavares Tootoo has been cut.

Haytum lands a big uppercut and Tootoo crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Tootoo looks OK. Haytum waves Tootoo back to his feet!

Tootoo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Haytum to the mat! Haytum manages to get full guard.

Haytum is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Tootoo presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Haytum breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Haytum throws the left hand but Tootoo avoids the punch easily.

Haytum slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The cut above Tavares Tootoo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Tootoo throws a wild hook but Haytum just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Tootoo gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Haytum raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
