PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Diego (ranked 1797 p4p, 3308 weight class) and Alexei Brovarnik (ranked 221 p4p, 365 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Brovarnik's choice of entrance music: Colours - DJ Mind X. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brovarnik darts in and clinches Diego up against the cage.
Brovarnik creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Diego avoids the elbow strike from Brovarnik, against the cage.
Brovarnik tries to land knees in the clinch but Diego avoids the damage to the body.

Diego breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Diego counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Brovarnik falls off balance throwing a combination
and Diego makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Brovarnik jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Diego walks away with a smile on his face. Brovarnik gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Diego lands a big head kick that sends Brovarnik tumbling to the mat! Diego takes a step backwards and waves Brovarnik back to his feet - he wants the finish!
