Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antti Kokko (ranked 1155 p4p, 696 weight class) and Lawson Serrano (ranked 148 p4p, 90 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Antti Kokko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lawson Serrano!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kokko just misses with a punch to the body.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Serrano has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kokko is fighting off a takedown attempt but Serrano is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kokko to the mat. Kokko regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Kokko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Serrano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kokko has managed to get both his arms back between Serrano's legs - danger averted.
