PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Nick Tartle (ranked 24867 p4p, 24774 weight class) and Harry Swotter (ranked 542 p4p, 532 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Tartle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Harry Swotter!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Tartle.
Swotter avoids a punch combination nicely.
Tartle misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tartle throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Swotter wants to counter the offense by Tartle and move into the clinch position.

Tartle clips Swotter with a right and a left that makes him do the chicken dance for a couple of seconds. He touched his left hand down on the canvas so the referee steps between the fighters to give Swotter a standing 8 count before we can continue the bout.

It looks like Harry Swotter has been cut.

Tartle sets himself, and Swotter steps forward looking for the clinch! Tartle avoids it this time.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sloppy strikes from Swotter. Those never looked like landing.

Swotter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tartle.
Swotter is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Tartle misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Swotter.
Swotter wants to counter the offense by Tartle and move into the clinch position.
Tartle jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Tartle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Swotter was well out of range. Poor timing from Tartle.
A slow jab from Tartle misses its intended target.
Swotter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tartle.
Tartle misses with a low kick.
Swotter tries to counter with a clinch but Tartle shakes him off and moves away.
Swotter tries to clinch but Tartle is having none of it.
Tartle throws a big shot that misses.
Swotter wants to counter the offense by Tartle and move into the clinch position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tartle is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Swotter.
Swotter wants to counter with a clinch but Tartle pushes him away.
Nick Tartle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tartle dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tartle keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Swotter.
And Tartle counters with a quick kick to the body but Swotter blocks it.
A chopping leg kick lands by Tartle.
Tartle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tartle sets himself, and Swotter steps forward looking for the clinch! Tartle avoids it this time.

Tartle listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Tartle definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tartle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Swotter was well out of range. Poor timing from Tartle.
Swotter stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tartle.
Swotter throws a jab when Tartle was well out of range.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Tartle should take that round, based on the knockdown.
The cut man is working on Harry Swotter's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Tartle throws a push kick but Swotter slaps the foot to one side.
Swotter ducks under a wild hook from Tartle.
Swotter tries to counter with a clinch but Tartle shakes him off and moves away.
A punch combination from Swotter misses.
Tartle throws a big shot that misses.

Tartle catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Swotter stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Swotter walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!
Tartle knocks out Swotter with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Tartle before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Tartle picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nick Tartle!
