The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malaki misses with a hook.

That kick from Malaki tenderised Peterson's leg. Peterson is trying to keep his angry face on.

Malaki gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Peterson tries to pull guard but Malaki holds him up against the cage and eventually Peterson drops back down to his feet.
A nice right hand lands inside from Malaki.

It looks like Melvin Peterson has been cut.

Peterson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Malaki to keep the fight standing.
Malaki lands a hook to the side of the head.
Peterson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Malaki walks away with a smile on his face. Peterson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Isai Malaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Melvin Peterson.
Peterson misses with a hook.
Malaki Throws a clean left jab. Malaki Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Peterson's chin! Peterson crumbles to the ground and Malaki follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Malaki!
