Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Spence (ranked 4888 p4p, 3592 weight class) and Shocking World (ranked 503 p4p, 419 weight class). Shocking World is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shocking World!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Spence closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. World did well to prevent Spence getting side control.
World wants to get back to full guard.
World is pressing down on Spence's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Spence is fighting to break World's control of his arms but World is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Spence is looking to stand up but World won't let him.
World pulls Spence in to control the position.
World is continuing to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The adventures of World the control monster continue. Boring.
Spence wants to control from the top but World keeps moving.

Spence is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because World is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Let's hope that World has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

World bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Spence's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
World slips nicely into half guard.
World perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
