This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 4 losses; Hot Water!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Shalit fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Water avoids it really well and circles away.
Water closes the distance and clinches.
Shalit pulls guard effortlessly.
Shalit controls Water momentarily but Water frees himself.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Water wants to pass the guard but Shalit is keeping the position.

We've been hearing good reports from Shalit's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Water wants to hold on but Shalit pushes him away.

Shalit tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Water really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shalit. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Shalit is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Shalit extends the arm and Water is forced to tap!
