Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Muggle Lupin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lupin fails with a takedown attempt.

Silva shoots in and bounces Lupin off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.

Lupin looking for a guillotine here but Silva defends easily.

Lupin is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Silva is looking to stand up but Lupin won't let him.

Lupin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lupin keeps working.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Silva is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Lupin is looking for a sweep. Silva is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Lupin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lupin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Lupin's legs - danger averted.

Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lupin kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Lupin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Silva off and has taken his back!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lupin dodges the ground and pound from Silva.

Silva is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Lupin has managed to free his arm - good work.

Lupin is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Silva is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lupin's shoulder. That is not cool.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lupin is looking to regain half guard here but Silva keeps moving and retains side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Silva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Silva feints and as Lupin raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Silva postures up in Lupin's guard and throws a big left but Lupin blocks it.

Marcus Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Lupin wants to sweep but no luck.

Lupin has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.

Lupin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lupin is trying to get back to full guard.
Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lupin's head.
Silva prevents Lupin from improving his position.
Silva moves into full mount! Lupin won't be happy about that!
Silva unloads with some shots from mount but Lupin bucks and avoids them well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silva sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Silva wants to control the pace but Lupin is squirming around nicely.
Lupin keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Silva manages to capitalize on a mistake by Lupin to take his back!
Lupin covering up well under a series of strikes from Silva.
Lupin has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Silva.

Silva is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Lupin knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Lupin for a finish.
What can Lupin do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lupin turns into Silva and is now in his guard.
Silva is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lupin passes Silva's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Silva won't allow Lupin to pass to mount.

Muggle Lupin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Marcus Silva is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
