The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patel throws an off balance right hand
and Beocca counters with a right hand to the body.
Patel lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Sir Beocca has been cut.
An inside leg kick lands from Patel.
Patel fakes the leg kick and cracks Beocca in the body.
Patel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Patel is looking to chop away at Beocca 's legs.
Patel's jab looks to have found its range, popping Beocca under the eye.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It seemed like Patel was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Patel takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Beocca swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Patel.

and Beocca counters with a nice body kick.
Beocca wants to land a leg kick but Patel is out of range.
Beocca takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Patel scores with a jab. Beocca acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Sir Beocca 's cut is getting worse.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Patel misses with a hook to the body
and Beocca counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

After winning the bout, Sir Beocca thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
