The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez throws a looping overhand right but Simons ducks down to avoid it.
Simons slips a jab from Chavez.
Chavez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Simons.
Chavez instigates a clinch.
Chavez is stalling here.
Chavez jumps into guard, dragging Simons to the mat.
Simons being controlled here momentarily.
Chavez is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Simons has his hands clasped together but Chavez extends and breaks Simons's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Chavez.
