Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Frost (ranked 1756 p4p, 984 weight class) and Mike Preston (ranked 181 p4p, 104 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eric Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Mike Preston!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frost changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Preston tries to avoid it but Frost manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Preston to the ground. Preston escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Frost misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Preston lands with a shot to the body.
Frost with a poor takedown
and Preston counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eric Frost. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Frost shoots and misses
and Preston counters with a nice uppercut.
Frost tries for a takedown but Preston sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Frost shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Preston as he avoids it easily.
Frost definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Frost fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Preston lands a nice hook to Frost's body. Frost takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Frost doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Preston makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Frost has his takedown stuffed
and Preston counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Frost shoots and misses
and Preston counters with a two punch combo.
Preston throws a looping overhand right but Frost ducks down to avoid it.
Frost shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Preston as he avoids it easily.
Preston looks like he wants to counter punch here.
No luck for Frost with that takedown attempt.
Frost shoots for a takedown but Preston saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Preston lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Frost shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Frost showed some decent athleticism there.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Preston keeping hold of Frost's head, controlling as best he can.

Frost is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Preston has managed to free his arm - good work.
Frost uses his free foot to push down on Preston's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Preston.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Frost trying to control but Preston is having none of it.

Frost goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Preston is on top in guard.
Preston wants to control from the top but Frost keeps moving.
Preston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Frost. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Preston avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Frost is adopting a defensive guard.

Frost is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Preston frees his head nicely. Oh but Frost has switched to an armbar! Preston is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

During a confident post fight interview, Eric Frost thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
