Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gregor Reilly (ranked 1293 p4p, 2032 weight class) and Marc Schlager (ranked 134 p4p, 204 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gregor Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marc Schlager!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reilly swats away the attempt to clinch by Schlager.
Marc Schlager seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schlager takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Schlager takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Schlager gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Reilly fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Reilly throws out a powerful jab.
Schlager tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Reilly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Schlager tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Reilly manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Reilly was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Schlager tries to move into range but Reilly moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Reilly connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Schlager is trying to pull guard but Reilly turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gregor Reilly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Schlager.

Reilly breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Reilly stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Schlager tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Reilly counters with a right hand to the body.

Schlager on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Reilly lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Schlager jumps into guard, dragging Reilly to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Schlager looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Reilly trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Schlager is looking to cinch up a triangle. Reilly throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Schlager's body to avoid the submission. Schlager has instead reached around Reilly's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Schlager arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
