Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Patrick (ranked 3815 p4p, 5940 weight class) and Eden Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eden Romero is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Patrick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eden Romero!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrick misses with a takedown attempt - Romero sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Romero fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Patrick on the side of the head.
Romero lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Romero leaves Patrick with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Patrick walks into a straight right hand from Romero.
Patrick has his takedown stuffed
enabling Romero to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Patrick. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Patrick misses with a head kick.
A little jabbing left from Romero on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Patrick with a lazy takedown attempt

Patrick throws a left and a right that both miss
and Romero counters with a straight right hand.
Romero defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Patrick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Romero! But no joy.
Patrick moves to clinch but Romero breaks away
and Romero counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Patrick misses with a body punch
and Patrick takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Patrick closes the distance looking to clinch
and Romero counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Patrick fails with the takedown
and Romero counters with a one-two to the body.
Romero clobbers Patrick with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Patrick is rocked!
Patrick drops his hands momentarily. Romero doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Patrick staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Patrick doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Eden Romero!
