Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mario Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Freaky Hiroshima!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Waters is defended easily by Hiroshima.
Hiroshima throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hiroshima avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Waters wants to clinch.

Hiroshima rushes Waters and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hiroshima pulls guard.
Hiroshima is trying to control the position but Waters postures up.

Waters is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Hiroshima looking to control.

Hiroshima looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hiroshima looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Waters seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hiroshima pulls Waters in close to prevent any damage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Hiroshima keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mario Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Waters steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hiroshima.
Waters misses with a takedown attempt

and Hiroshima moves into the clinch.

Waters is looking to control Hiroshima's arms but Hiroshima gets an underhook and turns him. Now Waters has his back to the cage.

Hiroshima looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Waters trying to control the position from guard on top but Hiroshima is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Waters preventing the sweep.
Hiroshima not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Waters engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Waters trying to control but Hiroshima is working from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hiroshima throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Freaky Hiroshima dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mario Waters's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hiroshima throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Waters tries to close the distance and clinch but Hiroshima swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Waters closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hiroshima quickly recovers to half guard.
Hiroshima is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hiroshima is not content to let Waters control the position.
Hiroshima wants to improve his position but Waters is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Waters stalling away here and it's allowed Hiroshima to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Waters wants to control from the top but Hiroshima keeps moving.

Freaky Hiroshima is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hiroshima takes the fight into the clinch.

A nice left hand lands by Hiroshima.
Waters jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hiroshima walks away with a smile on his face. Waters gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Hiroshima pushes Waters up against the cage in a clinch.

Hiroshima drags the fight down to the ground.
Hiroshima has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hiroshima keeping moving, preventing Waters from controlling successfully.
Hiroshima is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Hiroshima trying to keep a closed guard but Waters is proving a slippery customer.

Hiroshima looking to hit a scissor sweep but Waters is one step ahead there.

Hiroshima working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Waters doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hiroshima is tightening it up a little... Waters has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Waters reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Waters taps out! Nice BJJ there by Hiroshima!
