Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Niblett misses with a takedown
and Spence counters with a big head kick but Niblett shrugs it off.
Niblett closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Spence is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Spence tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Niblett wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spence pushes Niblett off and gets back to his feet.
Niblett changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Spence looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Spence is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Niblett is taking a breather. Spence says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spence is trying to escape the position but Niblett is controlling the position.

Niblett is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Spence's shoulder. That is not cool.

Spence wants to control but Niblett postures up.
Niblett stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Spence gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Niblett to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Niblett postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Spence is rocked!
Niblett loads up on a big left hand. Spence felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Niblett looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Spence can't hide his disappointment, as Niblett celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Martin Niblett!
Martin Niblett bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
