The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prescott lands with a cross.
Prescott doesn't manage to clinch there - Thai circles away.
Thai tries to counter with a clinch but Prescott shakes him off and moves away.
Thai shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Prescott misses with a lunging right hand

and Thai counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Thai.
Thai passes into half guard.
Thai passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Prescott!

Thai with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Thai looking to secure an arm triangle but Prescott defends it well.

Thai looking for a guillotine from mount but Prescott is having none of it.

Thai goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Prescott is on top in guard.

Thai looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Prescott has picked Thai up and slammed him! Thai can't keep hold of the triangle and Prescott manages to pass to side control!

Thai avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thai is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Thai looks for a takedown but Prescott sprawls well.
Prescott misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Prescott thuds his right hand into Thai's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Thai shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Prescott as he avoids it easily.
Pete Prescott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wille Thai.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thai has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Prescott uses from the top position.

Thai has his feet on Prescott's thighs here. He's pushed Prescott off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Prescott screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
