Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Pancho Garcia (ranked 599 p4p, 1238 weight class) and Michel Santos (ranked 76 p4p, 132 weight class). Garcia comes to the cage accompanied by Thors Hammer - Mexico. Santos is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: DMX - Intro. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia throws a lazy right hand but Santos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Santos thuds his right hand into Garcia's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Santos bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Santos throws a leg kick that misses.
Garcia throws a lazy uppercut

and Santos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Garcia won't be happy with that.
Santos wants to control but Garcia is keeping him busy.
Santos tries to move into full mount but can't pass Garcia's legs.
You can see the frustration on Garcia's face as Santos controls the position.
Santos is looking to take a break and control but Garcia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garcia manages to work his way to half guard, despite Santos's best efforts.
Santos is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Garcia is not content to let Santos control the position.

Santos might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Garcia haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Santos uses his free foot to push down on Garcia's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Garcia.
Santos tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Santos lands a couple of good shots and Garcia has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Garcia manages to reverse the position and now he's in Santos's guard. Nice work there by Garcia.

Garcia is trying to control the action in half guard but Santos is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Santos has his hands clasped together around Garcia's back. He's all about the action.

and Garcia counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Good work by Garcia as he checks the leg kick.
Garcia throws a jab but it's blocked by Santos.

Santos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Garcia swivels and escapes.

Santos's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Garcia connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Santos scrambles back to his feet.
Garcia throws a hook but Santos blocks it.
Garcia feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Santoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Santos is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Santos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Garcia's waist but Garcia gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Santos off to one side.
Santos is still on wobbly legs! Can Garcia finish him?
Garcia throws a right hand that Santos ducks under and follows up with a left that Santos also avoids with ease.
Garcia throws a big shot that misses.
Garcia cracks Santos on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Santos falls backwards against the cage. Garcia follows up with more strikes that drop Santos to his knees. Garcia keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Santos! This one is all over!
