Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wilbur Bickell (ranked 4131 p4p, 5218 weight class) and Sudarat Yoottawaree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sudarat Yoottawaree is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wilbur Bickell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sudarat Yoottawaree!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bickell takes a swing at Yoottawaree's ribcage but misses.
Yoottawaree looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Bickell moves into range and clinches up with Yoottawaree.
Yoottawaree being controlled against the cage.
Yoottawaree wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Yoottawaree wants to break free but Bickell has control.
Yoottawaree prevents a takedown attempt there.

Bickell manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bickell has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bickell is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Yoottawaree to keep the fight standing.
Yoottawaree is looking to break free of the clinch but Bickell has double underhooks.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bickell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yoottawaree defends it easily.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Bickell looking for subs off his back but Yoottawaree has passed one foot through into half guard.
Bickell moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Bickell has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Yoottawaree is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Bickell manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Bickell is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Yoottawaree defends well.
Yoottawaree stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bickell swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bickell controls Yoottawaree momentarily but Yoottawaree frees himself.

Yoottawaree should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Bickell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bickell controls Yoottawaree momentarily but Yoottawaree frees himself.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bickell shoots in for a takedown but Yoottawaree shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bickell shoots in looking for a takedown but Yoottawaree manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bickell's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bickell wants to clinch.
Bickell stalks Yoottawaree and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Yoottawaree's face. Yoottawaree staggers backwards, shaken.
Bickell shoots in but no luck this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yoottawaree is breathing heavily.

Bickell darts in looking for a takedown but Yoottawaree gets double underhooks and turns Bickell into the cage.

Yoottawaree breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Yoottawaree counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Bickell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
As Bickell backs off Yoottawaree throws a huge counter combo but Bickell manages to avoid it all.

Yoottawaree throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Wilbur Bickell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Yoottawaree counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bickell's knee momentarily.
Bickell shoots in and drives through. Yoottawaree sprawls well.
Yoottawaree only half commits to the counter leg kick.
A head kick misses from Bickell.
Bickell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Yoottawaree connects with a leg kick.
Bickell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yoottawaree sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bickell somewhat.
Yoottawaree is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Yoottawaree throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bickell closes the distance and clinches up with Yoottawaree, looking for a takedown. Bickell pushes Yoottawaree against the cage but Yoottawaree circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bickell fails in his attempt to clinch.
Yoottawaree feints and then cracks Bickell's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bickell down.

Bickell fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Yoottawaree, pushing him back against the cage.
Yoottawaree has had enough of the clinch but Bickell keeps him there for the moment.
Yoottawaree wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Bickell has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Yoottawaree avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Bickell is trying to drag Yoottawaree to the mat but Yoottawaree just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Bickell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No luck for Bickell with that takedown attempt.
Bickell tries to clinch but Yoottawaree is having none of it.
Yoottawaree is looking for the big counter here.

Bickell shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yoottawaree sprawls well. Yoottawaree wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bickell gets slowly back to his feet.

Sudarat Yoottawaree showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Bickell fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Yoottawaree to the ground. Bickell is now in Yoottawaree's guard.

Yoottawaree has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bickell off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Bickell pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Yoottawaree tries a quick counter leg kick but Bickell is wise to it.
Bickell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Yoottawaree swats away the attempt to clinch by Bickell.

Bickell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Yoottawaree is fending him off so far but Bickell persists. Nope, Yoottawaree circles away and we're back to standing.
Sudarat Yoottawaree is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bickell shoots in looking for a takedown. Yoottawaree tries to sprawl out of it but Bickell keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yoottawaree manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Yoottawaree doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Yoottawaree avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bickell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yoottawaree's waist but Yoottawaree gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bickell off to one side.

Bickell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Bickell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yoottawaree sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bickell somewhat.

Sudarat Yoottawaree seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bickell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yoottawaree defends it nicely.

Bickell rushes Yoottawaree and presses him up against the cage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bickell prevents Yoottawaree from breaking the clinch.
Bickell is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Yoottawaree has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Yoottawaree is trying to force a seperation but Bickell has the dominant position.
Bickell's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

I would just about give that final round to Sudarat Yoottawaree.
I think Yoottawaree has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
